I promise I’m not a male basher.  Although, I think my mother is…justifiably so, which I suppose entitles me to be also.  But, Daddy issues are another topic.  Moving on.

Why Women Think Men are Idiots

(my assumptions)

  • You completely miss opportunities of amazing women
  • You’re too scared to be vulnerable
  • Don’t recognize the inside beauty right away
  • Your egos get in the way
  • You don’t know how to be a gentleman anymore
  • Completely ignore appropriate “follow up” or “woo” tactics
  • Make minimal effort to get to know somebody
  • Believe the grass is always greener
  • Afraid of commitment, even if it means just another date
  • Afraid of hurting somebody’s feelings by being honest, although ignoring them actually hurts more
  • Emotionally unavailable
  • Lack a strong social network of good guy friends (and female friends)
  • You don’t treat women you’d potentially date the same way you’d want your sister to be treated

Ok, I’ll stop.  Now let’s see why men HONESTLY think they are idiots themselves…

Why Men Think They’re Idiots

(from a real guy, not my assumptions)

  • Irrational who don’t see the big picture
  • Long game is never insight
  • “See girl, get girl”
  • Most men are spur of the moment or impulsive
  • Guys also assume simply because a woman is being nice, polite or cordial that she wants him
  • Men are their own contradictions
  • Bragging rights and counting women are considered accomplishments
  • They lie
  • Engage in stupid behavior
  • Their exterior does not often match their interior
  • Don’t realize the woman you marry is certainly not the same woman years down the road.  Neither are you.  Or are you still stuck?
  • Even though we know women think we’re idiots, we still continue, which is, uh, idiotic?

And of course, this does NOT apply to all men. I don’t consider myself the idiot here. These are stereotypes and generalities, but if you’re being honest with yourself….could some of them apply to you?
